トリオ・ジャパン

クラシック界の中心核となるソリスト3名による新しいトリオ。神奈川フィル首席、ソリストとして不動の人気を誇る石田泰尚、東京交響楽団首席チェロ奏者として活動を経てソリストとして活動している西谷牧人、シューベルト国際コンクール第1位のほか、室内楽、作編曲など幅広く活躍する佐藤卓史。キャラクターは異なれど実力があり人気を博しているアーティストによる新ピアノトリオ。

石田泰尚（ヴァイオリン）　Yasunao Ishida, Violin

神奈川県出身。国立音楽大学を首席で卒業、同時に矢田部賞受賞。
新星日本交響楽団コンサートマスターを経て、2001年神奈川フィルハーモニー管弦楽団ソロ・コンサートマスターに就任。以来“神奈川フィルの顔”となり現在は首席ソロ・コンサートマスターとしてその重責を担っている。これまでに神奈川文化賞未来賞、横浜文化賞文化・芸術奨励賞を受賞。結成時から30年参加するYAMATO String Quartet、自身がプロデュースした弦楽アンサンブル“石田組”など様々なユニットでも独特の輝きを見せる。
2018 年には石田組がNHK-FM「ベストオブクラシック」およびBSプレミアム「クラシック倶楽部」 で放送されその熱いステージの模様は大きな反響を呼び、2019年にはEテレ「ららら♪クラシック」で特集が組まれた。2020年4月より京都市交響楽団特別客演コンサートマスターを兼任。2022年に初の著書となる「音楽家である前に、人間であれ！」を刊行。5月～9月にかけてミューザ川崎シンフォニーホールにて無伴奏から協奏曲まで様々な編成で演奏する「石田泰尚スペシャル 熱狂の夜」を開催。2024年には石田組でNHK「あさイチ」に出演、日本武道館公演を行い8,000人以上を動員し大きな話題となった。最新アルバムは2024年4月にリリースされた『石田組 結成10周年記念 2024・春』。2025年4月より横浜みなとみらいホール「プロデューサー inレジデンス」第3代プロデューサーに就任。
使用楽器は 1690 年製 G.Tononi、 1726 年製 M.Goffriller。

西谷牧人（チェロ）　Makito Nishiya, Cello

奈良県出身。東京藝術大学及び大学院を修了後、米国インディアナ大学にて研鑽を積む。これまでに河野文昭、菊地知也、堤剛、ヤーノシュ・シュタルケルの各氏に師事。2005年帰国し、佐渡裕氏率いる兵庫芸術文化センター管弦楽団に創設メンバーとして在籍（〜2008年）。大谷康子弦楽四重奏団、小松亮太タンゴ楽団、霧島国際音楽祭、硬派弦楽アンサンブル「石田組」、東京グランドソロイスツ、テレビ朝日「題名のない音楽会」などに出演、多岐にわたる演奏活動を行なっている。2015年、自作自演弦楽ユニット「清水西谷」を結成、全曲オリジナル作品による「KODO」にてCDデビュー。2013年度青山音楽賞受賞。2008〜2016年東京藝術大学非常勤講師、2008〜2019年まで東京交響楽団首席チェロ奏者を務めた。現在はバッハからジャズ、タンゴ、自作自演までジャンルを超えた演奏活動を展開している。2021年より愛知県立芸術大学非常勤講師も務めている。2022年6月、ソロアルバム「STORY」をリリース。

佐藤卓史（ピアノ）　Takashi Sato, Piano

秋田市出身。高校在学中の2001年、日本音楽コンクールで第１位。東京藝術大学を首席で卒業後渡欧、ハノーファー音楽演劇大学ならびにウィーン国立音楽大学で研鑽を積む。その間、2007年シューベルト国際コンクール第１位、2010年エリザベート王妃国際コンクール入賞、2011年カントゥ国際コンクール第１位など受賞多数。ウィーン楽友協会をはじめとするヨーロッパの主要コンサートホールのほか、2011年にはシリア・ダマスカスのダール・アル・アサド文化芸術劇場でソロ・リサイタルを開催した。これまでにNHK交響楽団、東京交響楽団、日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団、大阪交響楽団、広島交響楽団、シドニー交響楽団、ベルギー国立管弦楽団等と共演。2007年にソロデビューアルバム「ラ・カンパネラ～珠玉のピアノ小品集」（ナミ・レコード）をリリース以来、レコーディング活動にも力を入れており、日本と欧州で多数のＣＤを発表。2014年より「佐藤卓史シューベルトツィクルス」を展開、ライフワークとしてシューベルトのピアノ曲全曲演奏に取り組んでいる。室内楽、作編曲など幅広い分野で活躍している。

Trio Japan

A new piano trio formed by three leading soloists at the forefront of the classical music world. The ensemble features Yasunao Ishida, the immensely popular concertmaster and soloist of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra; Makito Nishiya, former principal cellist of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra who is now active as a soloist; and Takashi Sato, winner of the Schubert International Competition and an artist active in a wide range of fields including chamber music, arranging, and composition. Though each artist possesses a distinct personality, all are acclaimed for their outstanding musicianship and popularity, coming together to create this exciting new piano trio.

Yasunao Ishida (Violin)

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, Yasunao Ishida graduated at the top of his class from Kunitachi College of Music, receiving the prestigious Yatabe Award upon graduation.

After serving as Concertmaster of the Shinsei Nippon Symphony Orchestra, he was appointed Solo Concertmaster of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra in 2001. Since then, he has become the orchestra's iconic leading figure and currently serves as its Chief Solo Concertmaster. His achievements have been recognized with the Kanagawa Cultural Award Future Prize and the Yokohama Cultural Award for Arts Encouragement.

In addition to his orchestral career, Ishida has been a member of the YAMATO String Quartet since its founding over 30 years ago and is the founder and producer of the acclaimed string ensemble Ishida-gumi (The Ishida Ensemble), both of which showcase his distinctive artistry.

In 2018, Ishida-gumi's performances were broadcast on NHK-FM's Best of Classic and NHK BS Premium's Classic Club, receiving widespread acclaim for their passionate performances. In 2019, the ensemble was featured on NHK E-Tele's La La La♪ Classic. Since April 2020, Ishida has also served as Special Guest Concertmaster of the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra.

In 2022, he published his first book, Before You Are a Musician, Be a Human Being!. From May through September of the same year, he presented "Yasunao Ishida Special: Nights of Passion" at Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall, performing a wide range of repertoire from solo violin recitals to concertos.

In 2024, Ishida-gumi appeared on NHK's popular morning program Asaichi and gave a landmark concert at the Nippon Budokan, drawing an audience of more than 8,000 people and attracting nationwide attention. Their latest album, Ishida-gumi 10th Anniversary 2024 Spring, was released in April 2024.

Beginning in April 2025, Ishida was appointed the third Producer-in-Residence at Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall.

He performs on a 1690 G. Tononi violin and a 1726 M. Goffriller violin.

Makito Nishiya (Cello)

Born in Nara Prefecture, Makito Nishiya completed his studies at Tokyo University of the Arts and its graduate school before furthering his studies at Indiana University in the United States. He has studied under Fumiaki Kono, Tomoya Kikuchi, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, and János Starker.

After returning to Japan in 2005, he joined the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra under the direction of Yutaka Sado as a founding member (through 2008). He has appeared with the Yasuko Otani String Quartet, Ryota Komatsu Tango Orchestra, the Kirishima International Music Festival, the string ensemble “Ishida-gumi,” Tokyo Grand Soloists, and TV Asahi’s “Untitled Concert,” among many others, engaging in a wide variety of musical activities.

In 2015, he formed the original string unit “Shimizu Nishiya” and made his CD debut with “KODO,” featuring entirely self-composed works. He received the 2013 Aoyama Music Award. From 2008 to 2016, he served as a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts, and from 2008 to 2019, he was Principal Cellist of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. Today, he performs across genres ranging from Bach and jazz to tango and his own original works. Since 2021, he has also served as a part-time lecturer at Aichi University of the Arts. In June 2022, he released his solo album “STORY.”

Takashi Sato (Piano)

Born in Akita City, Takashi Sato won First Prize at the Japan Music Competition in 2001 while still in high school. After graduating at the top of his class from Tokyo University of the Arts, he moved to Europe to study at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

During this period, he won numerous awards, including First Prize at the 2007 Schubert International Competition, a prize at the 2010 Queen Elisabeth Competition, and First Prize at the 2011 Cantu International Competition.

He has performed at major European concert halls including the Vienna Musikverein, and in 2011 gave a solo recital at the Dar Al-Assad Cultural and Arts Center in Damascus, Syria. He has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Osaka Symphony Orchestra, Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and the Belgian National Orchestra.

Since releasing his solo debut album “La Campanella – A Collection of Jewel-like Piano Pieces” (Nami Records) in 2007, he has been deeply involved in recording projects and has released numerous CDs in both Japan and Europe. Since 2014, he has been presenting the “Takashi Sato Schubert Zyklus,” a lifelong project dedicated to performing the complete piano works of Schubert. He is also active in a broad range of musical fields including chamber music, arranging, and composition.
