2006年に別府アルゲリッチ音楽祭にてバンドネオンの世界的権威ネストル・マルコーニと出会い、その後自作CDの売上で渡航費を捻出してアルゼンチンに渡り、現在に至るまで師事。

2008年10月、イタリアのカステルフィダルドで開催された第33回国際ピアソラ・コンクールで日本人初、史上最年少で準優勝を果たす。

2011年5月には別府アルゲリッチ音楽祭に出演し、マルタ・アルゲリッチやユーリー・バシュメットら世界的名手と共演し、大きな話題と絶賛を呼んだ。

2014年度出光音楽賞受賞。バッハからガーシュウィンまでを編曲・演奏するなど、既成の概念にとらわれない意欲的な取り組みや、バンドネオンの可能性を追求する真摯かつ精力的な活動ぶりが2010年9月NHK「トップランナー」に取り上げられ、再放送となる反響を呼ぶ。テレビやラジオ出演も多数。

2017年、ドイツにてドグマ・チェンバーオーケストラとマルコーニ作曲の「カーメラタンゴス」で共演。また自らが率いる室内オーケストラ「東京グランド・ソロイスツ」を新たに結成し、さらなる活動の場を拡げている。

また、NHK大河ドラマ「青天を衝け」の大河紀行音楽演奏を担当するなど若手実力派バンドネオン奏者として各方面から注目されている。

2022年日本コロムビアより三浦一馬五重奏団「ピアソラスタンダード&ビヨンド」、2024年8月にバンドネオン・レジェンド~ベスト・オブ・ピアソラ&マルコーをリリース。

 

使用楽器は、恩師ネストル・マルコーニより譲り受けた銘器、Alfred Arnold。

Born in 1990. Started playing the bandoneon at the age of 10.In 2006, he met world-renowned bandoneon authority Nestor Marconi at the Beppu Argerich Music Festival, and later traveled to Argentina with the proceeds from the sales of his own CDs to study with Marconi and up to present. In October 2008, he became the first Japanese and youngest ever runner-up at the 33rd International Piazzola Competition held in Castelfidardo, Italy.

In May 2011, he appeared at the Beppu Argerich Music Festival, where he performed with world-famous musicians such as Martha Argerich and Yuri Bashmet to much publicity and acclaim.Also, he received the Idemitsu Music Award in 2014.

His ambitious efforts to break free from conventional concepts, including arrangements and performances of works ranging from Bach to Gershwin, and his sincere and energetic pursuit of the possibilities of the bandoneon were featured on NHK's TV show "Top Runner" in September 2010, and the program was rebroadcast again.He has also made numerous television and radio appearances.

In 2007, he made his orchestral debut with the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Michiyoshi Inoue in the Japan premiere of “Tangos Concertantes" composed by Marconi. Since then, he has performed with the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Eiji Oue, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Alondra de la Parra, the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Norichika Iimori, the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sachio Fujioka, the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ken Takaseki, the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Michiyoshi Inoue, and the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa.

 

Folowing the release of CD “Tango Suite”, he released his second album “The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires”, which was selected as a special CD by “Record Geijutsu” magazine.

In 2012, he released “Carmela Tangos” and performed with Mr.Marconi in Tokyo, Hyogo, and Nagoya as part of a release commemorative tour, where they thrilled audiences with their exiting performances. In April 2015, he released the CD “Kazuma Miura Plays Gershwin”.

In 2016, he celebrated the 10th anniversary of his debut and gave a successful performance at Kuki Sogo Bunka Kaikan in March, where he made his debut. In June, he made a concert tour in Japan again with his former teacher Nestor Marconi, and in July, he was selected as the soloist for Bacharov's “Missa Tango” at the 500th subscription concert of the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2017, he performed “Carmela Tangos” by Marconi with the Dogma Chamber Orchestra in Germany. He has also formed a new chamber orchestra, the “Tokyo Grand Soloists,” which he leads, further expanding the scope of his activities.

In 2021, in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of Piazzola's birth, the Tokyo Grand Soloists release the first recording, “Buenos Aires Midnight,” and at the same time, had a nationwide tour commemoration of the Piazzola year. In 2022, the Kazuma Miura Quintet released the CD album “Piazzola Standard & Beyond” from NipponColumbia, a fitting end to the Piazzola's year.
He is also attracting attention from various fields as a young and talented bandoneon player, and he was in charge of the music performance for the NHK historical drama “Seiten wo tsuke”. 
He uses the famous Alfred Arnold instrument.
