2歳からピアノを始める。

4歳で映画「風の谷のナウシカ」の劇中歌『ナウシカ・レクイエム』を歌う。

6歳からNHK 東京児童合唱団に所属。

2005年韓国映画「トンマッコルへようこそ」テーマ曲によりソロ活動を本格化。

2007年日産スカイラインCM 曲『I will be』では作詞も手がける。

2008年宮崎駿監督「崖の上のポニョ」のイメージアルバム収録『ひまわりの家の輪舞曲』をうたう。また、この年リリースされた DAISHI DANCE『the ジブリ set』に、麻衣がうたう『君をのせて』が収録。

2011年7月に全世界で公開された映画「ハリーポッターと死の秘宝 Part2」のオープニングテーマを、同年 12月の NHKスペシャルドラマ「坂の上の雲」第3部主題歌『Stand Alone』をうたう。

「マレフィセント」日本語版主題歌『Once Upon a Dream ～いつか夢で～』、 「シンデレラ」日本語版エンドソング『夢はひそかに(Duet version)』と、ディズニー映画の作詞を手がける。

長野県中野市音楽親善アンバサダー。

1996年に結成された女声合唱団リトルキャロルを主宰。

2017年パリから始まった「Joe Hisaishi Symphonic Concert: Music from Films of Hayao Miyazaki」世界ツアーにソリストとして参加。

2022年には、ニューヨークRadio City Concert Hall、シアトル公演に出演。

Started playing the piano at the age of two.

At the age of four, performed “Nausicaä Requiem” from the film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

Joined the NHK Tokyo Children’s Choir at the age of six.

In 2005, began a full-scale solo career through the theme song for the Korean film Welcome to Dongmakgol.

In 2007, also wrote the lyrics for “I will be,” a commercial song for the Nissan Skyline.

In 2008, sang “Himawari no Ie no Rondo,” included in the image album for Hayao Miyazaki’s Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. In the same year, her rendition of “Carrying You” was included in DAISHI DANCE’s album the ジブリ set.

In 2011, performed the opening theme for the worldwide release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in July, and later that year sang “Stand Alone,” the theme song for Part 3 of the NHK special drama Saka no Ue no Kumo.

Also wrote lyrics for Disney films, including the Japanese theme song “Once Upon a Dream” for Maleficent and the Japanese end song “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes (Duet Version)” for Cinderella.

Serves as Music Friendship Ambassador for Nakano City, Nagano Prefecture.

Leads the female choir Little Carol, founded in 1996.

In 2017, joined the world tour Joe Hisaishi Symphonic Concert: Music from Films of Hayao Miyazaki, which began in Paris, as a soloist.

In 2022, appeared at New York’s Radio City Concert Hall and in performances in Seattle.
