三浦一馬 Miura Kazuma （バンドネオン）

10歳よりバンドネオンを始める。2006年別府アルゲリッチ音楽祭にてバンドネオン界の最高峰ネストル・マルコーニと出会い、その後自作CDの売上で渡航費を捻出してアルゼンチンに渡り、現在に至るまで氏に師事。2008年国際ピアソラ・コンクールで日本人初、史上最年少で準優勝。2014年度出光音楽賞を受賞。2017年自らが率いる室内オーケストラ「東京グランド・ソロイスツ」を結成。2022年、三浦一馬五重奏団によるピアソライヤーの最後に相応しいアルバム「ピアソラスタンダード＆ビヨンド」を日本コロムビアよりリリース。NHK大河ドラマ「青天を衝け」の大河紀行音楽演奏を担当するなど若手実力派バンドネオン奏者として各方面から注目されている。

石田泰尚　Ishida Yasunao（ソロ・ヴァイオリン）

国立音楽大学を首席で卒業、同時に矢田部賞受賞。新星日本交響楽団コンサートマスターを経て、2001年より神奈川フィルハーモニー管弦楽団ソロ・コンサートマスターに就任。以来“神奈川フィルの顔”となり現在は首席ソロ・コンサートマスターとしてその重責を担っている。これまでに神奈川文化賞未来賞、横浜文化賞文化・芸術奨励賞を受賞。結成時から参加するYAMATO String Quartet、自身がプロデュースした男性奏者のみの弦楽アンサンブル”石田組“など様々なユニットでも独特の輝きを見せる。 2020年4月より京都市交響楽団特別客演コンサートマスターを兼任。最新アルバムは2021年12 月リリースされた“PIAZZOLA LIVE ”。 2022年6月に初の著書となる「音楽家である前に、人間であれ！」を刊行。使用楽器は 1690 年製G.Tononi、 1726 年製 M.Goffriller。

塩田脩　Shioda Shu（ヴァイオリン）

アメリカ合衆国ボストン生まれ。2004年ニューイングランド音楽院修士号取得。小澤征爾音楽塾オーケストラプロジェクト、オペラプロジェクト、セイジ・オザワ松本フェスティバルに出演。兵庫県立文化センター管弦楽団ゲストコンサートマスター、京都市交響楽団第2ヴァイオリンゲスト首席奏者。14年東京都交響楽団に入団。

丹羽洋輔　Niwa Yosuke（ヴァイオリン）

7歳よりヴァイオリンを始める。都立芸術高校を経て、東京藝術大学にて学ぶ。在学中ウィーンへ留学。ディヒラーコンクールにて入賞。2007年NHK交響楽団へ入団。これまでに佐藤素子、保井領子、岡山潔、篠崎史紀、エドワード・ツェンコフスキーの各氏に師事。

鈴木浩司　Suzuki Koji（ヴァイオリン）

福岡県北九州市出身。2歳よりヴァイオリンをはじめる。愛知県立芸術大学音楽学部にて服部芳子、エヴァルド・ダネルの各氏に師事。2008年同大学卒業と同時に、神奈川フィルハーモニー管弦楽団に入団。12～16年同楽団でフォアシュピーラーを務めた後、17年より東京交響楽団に入団。これまでにアジア・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、アフィニス夏の音楽祭等に参加。

ビルマン聡平　Sohei Birmann （ヴァイオリン）

兵庫県神戸市出身。東京藝術大学音楽学部を経て、スイス・ローザンヌ高等音楽院卒業。同大学院修士課程修了。ローザンヌにおいて Sinfonietta de Lausanne のアカデミー課程修了。山本彰、工藤千博、澤和樹、清水高師、ピエール・アモイアルの各氏に師事。 8歳で京都音楽コンクール金賞奨励賞。全日本学生音楽コンクール（中学の部）第3位入賞。日本演奏家コンクール優勝。YBP 国際コンクール優勝。大阪国際コンクール第3位入賞。2016年入団。新日本フィル首席第2ヴァイオリン奏者。

廣岡克隆　Hirooka Yoshitaka（ヴァイオリン）

1998年東京藝術大学卒業。在学中に安宅賞を受賞、ニューイングランド音楽院へ留学。卒業と同時にアシスタント・コンサートマスターとして東京交響楽団に入団。現在、東京交響楽団での活動を中心に、大阪フィル、神奈川フィル、京都市交響楽団、仙台フィルなど、多数のオーケストラにコンサートマスターとして客演、ソロ、室内楽などの活動も積極的に行っている。また04年から東海大学にて後進の指導にもあたっている。

奈須田弦　Nasuda Gen（ヴァイオリン）

桐朋学園大学音楽学部を卒業。在学中からさまざまな演奏会に出演。現在はKバレエカンパニーの専属オーケストラや日本の多数のプロオーケストラに出演しソロ、室内楽やスタジオレコーディング、ライブサポート、アレンジャー、録音技師として多方面で活動中。

田村昭博　Tamura Akihiro（ヴァイオリン）

山口県出身。第45回山口県学生音楽コンクール第2位。2003年、国立音楽大学音楽学部器楽学科を卒業。在学中よりオーケストラへの客演をはじめ、室内楽、ライブサポート、音楽番組の収録など幅広く活動する。草津夏期国際音楽フェスティバル、防府音楽祭等に出演。04年より日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団のヴァイオリン奏者。

福留史紘　Fukutome Fumihiro （ヴァイオリン）

国立音楽大学卒業。第４回大阪国際音楽コンクール・アンサンブル部門優秀賞、第９回JILA音楽コンクール室内楽部門第１位、第５回日本アンサンブルコンクール最優秀演奏者賞など多数受賞。PMF弦楽四重奏コースのオーディションに合格し東京クァルテットと共演。ヴァイオリンを須賀陽子、福崎至佐子、故田中千香士、篠崎史紀、Rainer Schmidtの各氏に師事。東京交響楽団第２ヴァイオリンフォアシュピーラー。

村井俊朗　Murai Toshiro（ヴァイオリン）

京都市立堀川高校音楽科、桐朋学園大学を経てウィーン国立音楽大学にて学ぶ。帰国後フリーランス奏者としてゲストコンサートマスター、首席奏者として活動する傍らスタジオミュージシャンとして多数のレコーディングに参加するなど幅広く活動している。

山本翔平　Yamamoto Shohei （ヴァイオリン）

桐朋学園大学、同大学研究科修了。2007年、東京都交響楽団に入団。オーケストラの他、ソロや室内楽も積極的に取り組む。特に室内楽では、Quartetto Hymnusのメンバーとして活動し、2012年と2015年に松尾学術復興財団より助成金を得る。リゾナーレ室内楽講習会にて、「緑の風音楽賞」を受賞。現在、東京都交響楽団第２ヴァイオリン副首席奏者を務める。

生野正樹　Shono Masaki（ヴィオラ）

洗足学園音楽大学器楽科を首席で卒業、同大学大学院修了。ザルツブルク=モーツァルト国際室内楽コンクールにて第2位入賞。ソロアルバム“ノスタルジック・メロディーズ”をワーナーミュージック・ジャパンより発売。東京シティフィル、神奈川フィル、日本フィル、広島交響楽団、東京フィル、山形交響楽団など全国の主要オーケストラに客演首席として参加する他、ソロ、室内楽、様々なジャンルのツアーやレコーディングなどで活動している。

萩谷金太郎　Hagiya Kintaro（ヴィオラ）

東京都出身。東京音楽大学卒業。桐朋学園大学院大学を修了。ヴァイオリンを藤原浜雄に、ヴィオラを百武由紀に、室内楽を上田晴子、岩崎洸の各氏に師事。PMF2011、カザルス国際音楽祭、アフィニス夏の音楽祭などに参加。京都市交響楽団契約楽員、NHK交響楽団アカデミーを経て、2017年より東京都交響楽団に所属。オーケストラの他、スタジオレコーディングやライブサポート、作編曲など、多岐に渡って活動。

古屋聡見 Furuya Satomi（ヴィオラ）

桐朋学園音楽学部在学中にＮ響アカデミーに在籍・修了。ハンス・アイスラー音楽大学ベルリンに入学。ベルリンフィルハーモニー管弦楽団を始めとする、ドイツ国内の主要オーケストラにエキストラとして参加する。その後セビリア王立管弦楽団にて副主席として半年間期間契約で在籍。現在は日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団、アンサンブル金沢、神奈川フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、仙台フィルハーモニー管弦楽団等の国内オーケストラで客演首席として出演するほか、江戸純子、岡田伸夫、ヴァルターキュスナーの各氏に師事。

鈴村大樹　Suzumura Taiki（ヴィオラ）

3歳よりヴァイオリンを始め18歳でヴィオラに転向。第3回横浜国際音楽コンクール弦楽器部門1位。山手の丘音楽コンクール1位、横浜ライオンズクラブ賞、Ｆグループ賞を併せて受賞、第9回東京音楽コンクール３位等、数々のコンクールに入賞している。これまでに宮崎国際音楽祭、プロジェクトＱ等のコンサートに出演。ヴィオラと室内楽を岡田伸夫氏に師事。

西谷牧人　Nishiya Makito（チェロ）

東京藝術大学、同大学院、米国インディアナ大学を修了。これまでに河野文昭、堤剛、ヤーノシュ・シュタルケルの各氏に師事。兵庫芸術文化センター管弦楽団の創設メンバーを経て、2008〜2019年まで東京交響楽団首席チェロ奏者を務める傍ら、東京藝術大学非常勤講師として後進の指導にもあたる。2013年度青山音楽賞受賞。2015年、ヴァイオリン奏者清水泰明氏と自作自演弦楽ユニット「清水西谷」を結成し、アルバム「KODO」にてデビュー。現在は、バッハから現代音楽、ジャズ、タンゴ、ポップス、自作自演までジャンルを超えた演奏活動を展開している。2022年6月、ソロアルバム「STORY」をリリース。

大宮理人　Omiya Yoshito（チェロ）

横浜市出身。７歳よりチェロに親しむ。桐朋女子高等学校を卒業後、桐朋学園大学、同大学カレッジディプロマコースを経て公益財団法人東京交響楽団に入団(2014‐2019年)。高嶋ちさ子 with SuperCellistsメンバー現在はフリーランスとしてスタジオでのレコーディング・ライブサポートや、日本の主要オーケストラへの客演、自身のチェロカルテットでの演奏活動もしている。これまでチェロを石橋かほる、毛利伯郎の各氏に、室内楽を毛利伯郎、諸田由里子、東京クァルテットの各氏に師事。

弘田徹　Hirota Toru （チェロ）

1997年東京藝術大学卒業。在学中に学内オーディションに合格し、P.ディシュパイ指揮、芸大オーケストラと協奏曲を共演。同大学同声会主催による卒業演奏会に出演。東京文化会館にてM.ロストロポーヴィッチに師事。 1999年、アフィニス夏の音楽祭に参加。2004年、新日本フィルとBARGIEL作曲「Adagio」を共演。新日本フィル楽員による弦楽五重奏（アンサンブル錦）を立ち上げ、長野県飯田市で4日間10公演を実施、好評を博す。現在も活動中。この他にもスタジオレコーティングにも多数参加。これまでに馬場省一、河野文昭の各氏に師事。1998年入団。新日本フィルチェロ奏者。

奥泉貴圭　Okuizumi Takayoshi（チェロ）

札幌出身。東京芸術大学附属音楽高等学校を卒業後、ドイツ・トロッシンゲン音楽大学を経て、2007年より2年間バイエルン国立歌劇場の契約団員として研鑽を積む。 2006年度文化庁在外研修員。1998年札幌ジュニアチェロコンクール優秀賞。2004年ビバホールチェロコンクール2位。ＪTが育てるアンサンブルシリーズ、小澤征爾氏率いるスイス・インターナショナルアカデミー、小澤征爾音楽塾オーケストラ、サイトウキネン室内楽勉強会、水戸室内管弦楽団、紀尾井シンフォニエッタ、東京春音楽祭等に参加。 2009年に帰国後、2016年まで上野学園大学講師、現在はソロ、オーケストラ客演首席、室内楽、レコーディング、トリオAXIS(弦楽三重奏)として、福井ハーモニーホールのレジデントトリオとして活動。これまでに上原与四郎、河野文昭、原田禎夫、イフ・サバリーの各氏に師事。

門脇大樹　Kadowaki Hiroki（チェロ）

東京藝術大学音楽学部附属高校、同大学卒業。日本クラシック音楽コンクール第１位及びグランプリ。第５回ビバホール・チェロコンクール第３位。第７４回日本音楽コンクール第３位。ザルツブルグ＝モーツァルト国際室内楽コンクール第１位。平成28年度エネルギア音楽賞受賞。ロームミュージックファンデーションより奨学金を得て、レッジョエミリア音楽院留学。現在東京音楽大学、東京藝術大学非常勤講師。神奈川フィルハーモニー管弦楽団首席奏者。

黒木岩寿　Kuroki Iwahisa（コントラバス）

東京藝術大学卒業、同大学院修士課程修了。1987年安宅賞受賞。1988年福島賞受賞。1990年から2004年まで東京藝術大学管弦楽研究部非常勤講師。2001年から2008年まで神奈川フィルハーモニー管弦楽団首席奏者。また、映画音楽やコマーシャル、ドラマ等、ジャンルを超えたパフォーマンスで活動中。2019年より長野市芸術館のシーズンプログラム・プロデューサーに就任。

髙橋洋太　Takahashi Yota（コントラバス）

桐朋学園大学、同研究科修了と同時に東京都交響楽団に入団。2005年青森市民文化顕彰受賞。セイジ・オザワ松本フェスティバル、アフィニス夏の音楽祭、東京・春・音楽祭、霧島国際音楽祭はじめ、各地の音楽祭に度々出演。現在、東京都交響楽団の他、三浦一馬率いる五重奏団、青島広志率いるブルーアイランド楽団などにおいてメンバー及びソリストとしての演奏等、その活動は多岐に渡る。

小金丸章斗　Akito Koganemaru（コントラバス）

東京音楽大学卒業。名古屋フィルハーモニー交響楽団を経て、現在読売日本交響楽団コントラバス奏者。平成30年度文化庁新進芸術家海外研修制度研修員および日米芸術家交換プログラム日本側派遣員として米国ボストンにて学ぶ。吉浦勝喜、吉田秀、石川滋、エドウィン・バーカー、岡本哲史の各氏に師事。

大坪純平　Ohtsubo Junpei（ギター）

広島県出身15歳よりエレキギターを、16歳よりクラシックギターを始める。様々なフィールドでの活動を行う”《変弦自在"》のギタリスト。第34回日本ギターコンクール最高位の他、第1回イーストエンド国際ギターコンクール、第45回クラシカルギターコンクールなど上位入賞。2019年より作曲活動を開始する。2022年第2回ポルトガル国際ギター作曲コンクール入選及び特別賞。2023年第4回バルセロナ国際ギター作曲コンクール"ミゲル・リョベート"3位入選。近年はコンポーザーギタリストとして活動の幅を広げて、様々なギタリストに作品を演奏されている。エリザベト音楽大学卒業。ギターを長野文憲、徳武正和、佐藤紀雄の各氏に師事。

石川智　Ishikawa Satoshi（ドラム・パーカッション）

東京藝術大学美術学部工芸科卒。ブラジルをはじめ中南米、アジア、インド、アフリカ等世界中のリズムに精通する、異色の経歴を持つパーカッショニスト。躍動感あふれるリズムと色彩豊かな音色を操る名手。ブラジル音楽をはじめ、クラシック、ラテン、ジャズ、ロック、ポップスに至るまであらゆるジャンルで活躍。現在、中南米、アメリカ、カナダ、ヨーロッパ、アジア各国へと世界中に演奏活動の場を広げている。

山田武彦　Yamada Takehiko（ピアノ）

東京藝術大学大学院作曲専攻修了。1993年フランス政府給費留学生としてパリ国立高等音楽院ピアノ伴奏科に入学、同クラスの７種類の卒業公開試験を、審査員の満場一致により首席で一等賞（プルミエ・プリ）を得て卒業。フランスの演奏団体である2e2m、L'itineraire、Triton2等でソリストとして演奏し、現代音楽の紹介を務める。帰国後はピアニストとして数多くの演奏者と共演、的確でおおらかなアンサンブル、色彩豊かな音色などが好評を博し、コンサート、録音、放送等の際のソリストのパートナーとして厚い信頼を得る。東京藝術大学招聘教授を経て現在同大学音楽文化学所属（ソルフェージュ分野主任）、洗足学園音楽大学客員教授。全日本ピアノ指導者協会正会員、日本ソルフェージュ研究協議会理事、日本ピアノ教育連盟会員。2017年より浅草オペラ100周年記念企画「ああ夢の街浅草！」にて音楽監督を務め、全曲の作・編曲を担当、浅草「東洋館」他にて上演を行う。

Member Profiles

Kazuma Miura (Bandoneon)
Kazuma Miura began playing the bandoneon at the age of 10. In 2006, at the Beppu Argerich Music Festival, he met Néstor Marconi, one of the greatest bandoneon masters in the world. Using proceeds from sales of his independently produced CDs to fund his travel, he went to Argentina and has continued studying under Marconi ever since. In 2008, he became the first Japanese musician and the youngest ever finalist to win second prize at the International Piazzolla Competition. He received the 2014 Idemitsu Music Award. In 2017, he founded the chamber orchestra Tokyo Grand Soloists. In 2022, his quintet released the album Piazzolla Standards & Beyond from Nippon Columbia, regarded as a fitting culmination to the Piazzolla Year celebrations. Miura has also drawn attention for performing the travel documentary music for the NHK historical drama Seiten wo Tsuke.

Yasunao Ishida (Solo Violin)
Graduated top of his class from Kunitachi College of Music and received the Yatabe Prize. After serving as concertmaster of the Shinsei Nippon Symphony Orchestra, he became Solo Concertmaster of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra in 2001 and remains one of the orchestra’s defining figures. He has received the Kanagawa Cultural Future Award and the Yokohama Cultural and Arts Encouragement Prize. Ishida is also active in various ensembles, including the YAMATO String Quartet and the all-male string ensemble Ishida-gumi, which he produces himself. Since April 2020, he has additionally served as Special Guest Concertmaster of the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra. His latest album, PIAZZOLA LIVE, was released in December 2021. In June 2022, he published his first book, Before Being a Musician, Be Human!. He performs on a 1690 G. Tononi violin and a 1726 M. Goffriller violin.

Shu Shioda (Violin)
Born in Boston, USA. Earned a master’s degree from the New England Conservatory in 2004. Has appeared in the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Orchestra Project, Opera Project, and the Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival. Served as Guest Concertmaster of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra and Guest Principal Second Violinist of the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra. Joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra in 2014.

Yosuke Niwa (Violin)
Started playing the violin at age seven. Studied at Tokyo Metropolitan High School of the Arts and Tokyo University of the Arts, and studied abroad in Vienna during his university years. Prizewinner at the Dichler Competition. Joined the NHK Symphony Orchestra in 2007. Studied under Motoko Sato, Ryoko Yasui, Kiyoshi Okayama, Fuminori Shinozaki, and Edward Zienkowski.

Koji Suzuki (Violin)
Born in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture. Began violin at age two. Studied under Yoshiko Hattori and Ewald Danel at Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts. Joined the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra upon graduation in 2008, serving as Vorspieler from 2012 to 2016. Joined the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra in 2017. Has participated in the Asia Philharmonic Orchestra and the Affinis Summer Music Festival.

Sohei Birmann (Violin)
Born in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne in Switzerland, where he also completed a master’s degree and the academy program of Sinfonietta de Lausanne. Studied under Akira Yamamoto, Chihiro Kudo, Kazuki Sawa, Takashi Shimizu, and Pierre Amoyal. Won numerous awards including the Kyoto Music Competition Gold Prize at age eight, third prize at the All Japan Student Music Competition, first prize at the Japan Performers Competition and YBP International Competition, and third prize at the Osaka International Competition. Joined the New Japan Philharmonic in 2016 and currently serves as Principal Second Violin.

Yoshitaka Hirooka (Violin)
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1998 and received the Ataka Prize. Studied at the New England Conservatory. Joined the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra as Assistant Concertmaster immediately after graduation. In addition to his activities with the orchestra, he frequently appears as guest concertmaster with major orchestras including the Osaka Philharmonic, Kanagawa Philharmonic, Kyoto Symphony, and Sendai Philharmonic. Also active as a soloist and chamber musician. Since 2004, he has taught younger musicians at Tokai University.

Gen Nasuda (Violin)
Graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music. Has appeared in numerous concerts since his student years. Currently performs with the exclusive orchestra of K-Ballet Company and many professional orchestras throughout Japan. Active in solo, chamber music, studio recording, live support, arranging, and audio engineering.

Akihiro Tamura (Violin)
Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Won second prize at the 45th Yamaguchi Student Music Competition. Graduated from Kunitachi College of Music in 2003. Since his student years, he has been active in orchestral guest performances, chamber music, live support, and television music recordings. Has appeared at the Kusatsu International Summer Music Festival and Hofu Music Festival. Joined the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra in 2004.

Fumihiro Fukutome (Violin)
Graduated from Kunitachi College of Music. Has received numerous awards including the Excellence Award in the Ensemble Division at the 4th Osaka International Music Competition, first prize in the Chamber Music Division at the 9th JILA Music Competition, and Best Performer Award at the 5th Japan Ensemble Competition. Selected for the PMF String Quartet Course and performed with the Tokyo Quartet. Studied under Yoko Suga, Chisako Fukuzaki, the late Chikashi Tanaka, Fuminori Shinozaki, and Rainer Schmidt. Currently serves as Vorspieler of the Second Violins in the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.

Toshiro Murai (Violin)
Studied at Kyoto Municipal Horikawa High School of Music, Toho Gakuen School of Music, and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Since returning to Japan, he has worked extensively as a freelance musician, appearing as guest concertmaster and principal player while also participating in numerous studio recordings.

Shohei Yamamoto (Violin)
Completed studies at Toho Gakuen School of Music and its postgraduate program. Joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra in 2007. In addition to orchestral work, he actively performs as a soloist and chamber musician. As a member of Quartetto Hymnus, he received grants from the Matsuo Academic Promotion Foundation in 2012 and 2015. Received the “Green Wind Music Award” at the Risonare Chamber Music Seminar. Currently serves as Associate Principal Second Violin of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra.

Masaki Shono (Viola)
Graduated top of his class from Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and completed graduate studies there. Won second prize at the Salzburg-Mozart International Chamber Music Competition. Released the solo album Nostalgic Melodies from Warner Music Japan. Frequently appears as guest principal violist with major orchestras throughout Japan including the Tokyo City Philharmonic, Kanagawa Philharmonic, Japan Philharmonic, Hiroshima Symphony, Tokyo Philharmonic, and Yamagata Symphony. Also active in solo performances, chamber music, tours, and recordings across multiple genres.

Kintaro Hagiya (Viola)
Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Tokyo College of Music and completed graduate studies at Toho Gakuen Graduate School. Studied violin under Hamao Fujiwara, viola under Yuki Hyakutake, and chamber music under Haruko Ueda and Hiroshi Iwasaki. Participated in PMF 2011, the Casals International Music Festival, and the Affinis Summer Music Festival. After working with the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra and the NHK Symphony Orchestra Academy, joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra in 2017. Active in orchestral performance, studio recordings, live support, and arranging.

Satomi Furuya (Viola)
Completed the NHK Symphony Orchestra Academy while studying at Toho Gakuen School of Music. Studied at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin and performed as an extra musician with major German orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic. Later served for six months as Associate Principal Violist with the Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra. Currently appears as guest principal with Japanese orchestras including the Japan Philharmonic, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, Kanagawa Philharmonic, and Sendai Philharmonic. Studied under Junko Edo, Nobuo Okada, and Walter Küssner.

Taiki Suzumura (Viola)
Started violin at age three and switched to viola at eighteen. Won first prize in the Strings Division at the 3rd Yokohama International Music Competition and also received the Yokohama Lions Club Award and F Group Award at the Yamate-no-Oka Music Competition. Won third prize at the 9th Tokyo Music Competition. Has appeared at the Miyazaki International Music Festival and Project Q concerts. Studied viola and chamber music under Nobuo Okada.

Makito Nishiya (Cello)
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, its graduate school, and Indiana University in the United States. Studied under Fumiaki Kono, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, and János Starker. A founding member of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra, he served as Principal Cellist of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra from 2008 to 2019 while also teaching at Tokyo University of the Arts. Recipient of the 2013 Aoyama Music Award. In 2015, formed the self-produced string unit Shimizu Nishiya with violinist Yasuaki Shimizu and debuted with the album KODO. Currently active across genres ranging from Bach and contemporary music to jazz, tango, pop, and original works. Released the solo album STORY in June 2022.

Yoshito Omiya (Cello)
Born in Yokohama. Began cello at age seven. After graduating from Toho Gakuen Girls’ High School, Toho Gakuen School of Music, and its College Diploma Course, he joined the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra (2014–2019). A member of Chisako Takashima with SuperCellists. Currently active as a freelancer in studio recordings, live support, guest performances with major Japanese orchestras, and performances with his own cello quartet. Studied under Kahoru Ishibashi and Hakuro Mori.

Toru Hirota (Cello)
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1997. While enrolled, he performed a concerto with the university orchestra under Paul Dombrecht after winning an internal audition, and appeared in the university’s graduation concert. Studied under Mstislav Rostropovich at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. Participated in the Affinis Summer Music Festival in 1999. In 2004, performed Bargiel’s Adagio with the New Japan Philharmonic. Founded the string quintet Ensemble Nishiki with members of the New Japan Philharmonic, giving ten performances over four days in Iida City, Nagano. Also active in studio recordings. Studied under Shoichi Baba and Fumiaki Kono. Joined the New Japan Philharmonic in 1998.

Takayoshi Okuizumi (Cello)
Born in Sapporo. After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts Music High School, studied at the Trossingen University of Music in Germany and spent two years from 2007 as a contracted member of the Bavarian State Opera Orchestra. A 2006 Agency for Cultural Affairs overseas trainee. Won the Excellence Award at the 1998 Sapporo Junior Cello Competition and second prize at the 2004 Viva Hall Cello Competition. Has participated in the JT Ensemble Series, Seiji Ozawa’s Swiss International Academy, Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Orchestra, Saito Kinen Chamber Music Workshop, Mito Chamber Orchestra, Kioi Sinfonietta, and Tokyo Spring Music Festival. After returning to Japan in 2009, taught at Ueno Gakuen University until 2016. Currently active as a soloist, guest principal cellist, chamber musician, recording artist, and member of Trio AXIS. Studied under Yoshiro Uehara, Fumiaki Kono, Sadao Harada, and Yf Sabaly.

Hiroki Kadowaki (Cello)
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts Music High School and Tokyo University of the Arts. Won first prize and the Grand Prix at the Japan Classical Music Competition, third prize at the Viva Hall Cello Competition, third prize at the Japan Music Competition, and first prize at the Salzburg-Mozart International Chamber Music Competition. Recipient of the 2016 Energia Music Award. Studied at the Reggio Emilia Conservatory with a Rohm Music Foundation scholarship. Currently serves as a part-time lecturer at Tokyo College of Music and Tokyo University of the Arts, and as Principal Cellist of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra.

Iwahisa Kuroki (Contrabass)
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and completed graduate studies there. Received the Ataka Prize in 1987 and the Fukushima Prize in 1988. Served as a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts from 1990 to 2004 and as Principal Bassist of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra from 2001 to 2008. Also active in film music, commercials, television dramas, and cross-genre performances. Since 2019, has served as Season Program Producer of the Nagano City Arts Center.

Yota Takahashi (Contrabass)
Graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music and its postgraduate program, then joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. Received the 2005 Aomori Civic Culture Award. Frequently appears at festivals including the Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival, Affinis Summer Music Festival, Tokyo Spring Music Festival, and Kirishima International Music Festival. In addition to orchestral work, he performs extensively as a member and soloist with ensembles such as Kazuma Miura Quintet and Hiroshi Aoshima’s Blue Island Orchestra.

Akito Koganemaru (Contrabass)
Graduated from Tokyo College of Music. After performing with the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, he became a bassist with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. Studied in Boston as both an Agency for Cultural Affairs overseas trainee and a Japanese representative in the U.S.-Japan Artist Exchange Program. Studied under Katsuyoshi Yoshiura, Shu Yoshida, Shigeru Ishikawa, Edwin Barker, and Tetsushi Okamoto.

Junpei Ohtsubo (Guitar)
Born in Hiroshima Prefecture. Began electric guitar at age 15 and classical guitar at 16. Guitarist of the ensemble Hengen Jizai, active across diverse musical fields. Prizewinner at numerous competitions including the Japan Guitar Competition, East End International Guitar Competition, and Classical Guitar Competition. Began composing in 2019. Received a special prize at the 2nd Portugal International Guitar Composition Competition in 2022 and third prize at the 4th Barcelona International Guitar Composition Competition “Miguel Llobet” in 2023. In recent years, he has expanded his activities as a composer-guitarist, with works performed by various guitarists. Graduated from Elisabeth University of Music.

Satoshi Ishikawa (Drums & Percussion)
Graduated from the Department of Crafts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. A uniquely accomplished percussionist deeply versed in rhythms from Brazil, Latin America, Asia, India, and Africa. Known for dynamic rhythms and richly colored sound. Active across genres including Brazilian music, classical, Latin, jazz, rock, and pop. Currently performs throughout Latin America, North America, Canada, Europe, and Asia.

Takehiko Yamada (Piano)
Completed graduate studies in composition at Tokyo University of the Arts. In 1993, entered the Paris Conservatoire as a French Government Scholarship student in piano accompaniment, graduating with unanimous first prize honors across all seven final examinations. Performed as a soloist with contemporary music ensembles such as 2e2m, L’Itinéraire, and Triton2. Since returning to Japan, he has collaborated with numerous performers and earned acclaim for his generous ensemble playing and colorful tone, becoming a highly trusted partner for concerts, recordings, and broadcasts. Former Visiting Professor at Tokyo University of the Arts; currently affiliated with its Department of Musicology (Head of Solfège Studies) and serves as Visiting Professor at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music. Also a member of several Japanese music education organizations. Since 2017, he has served as music director for the Asakusa Opera Centennial Project Ah, Dream City Asakusa!, composing and arranging the entire production.
